Hey, it’s Jen!
Over the past decade, my career has focused on curating transformational experiences for my clients - from designing future-state strategies to building enterprise products and delivering on modernization efforts.
My time in consulting helped me discovered my passion for driving rich and valuable user experiences through human-centric design and grounded empathy. I then moved into the enterprise SaaS product space, which grew my specialization in building products to drive sustainable behavioral and systemic changes and realize value at scale.
Building products has developed my eye for design and reinforced its importance for delivering on intended experiences. There is no value without a good story. There isn’t a good story without incredible design. When I am not on the clock, I enjoy running, taekwondo, pilates and picking up odd hobbies like sewing!
My Philosophy
The purpose of design to create meaning through experience. To do so, it is important to ‘walk in the shoes’ of our customers. Live their values. Frustrations. Quirks. Make the difficult decisions ourselves. Endure the boring, but necessary. Otherwise, do you really get it?
Designing to Create Value
Especially in the age of influencers, design can be reduced to algorithm optimization - optimizing for reach, views, and conversions. But design is also about starting conversations, building trust, and expressing a shared vision of what is possible.
Designing to Spark Joy
Design is also about having fun. Creating a human moment. Taking people out of auto-pilot and getting them to laugh, smile and sigh in relief because something just…makes sense! Making the experience about the feeling you want to leave.
